What a beautiful evening it was yesterday. Devika Murthy recited verses from her book on poems -‘Wacky Verse’. Followed by a talent show of a few from the SCAN family.
Starting with Stella cleaning up and waiting for someone to open Mitr, as she didnt bring her keys, to Deepa’s vadais being delivered by Vijay, to Latha breezing in and arranging the shop, to Gopi, Mini and kids coming in with a ton of pasta, to Ditta, with her usual camaraderie, to Zainab’s sweet delivered by her hubby, to Roopa bringing in the juice, to Gayu and friend Deepu with cupcakes, to Aman and Avanti enjoying the chitchat, to Anush’s quiet picture-taking, to young volunteers who helped out with writing the blackboard menu, then the poetry reading, Pranav,Roopa, Pragadeesh, Vikas, Seetha, Jaishree and her Mom’s performances, the Bhutanese who read a poem, and Lady from Umang, Jaipur, who read out hers, Seetha conducted a quick quiz then the usual photo clicking and laughter.. really a community came together last night!
