In April 2017, Latha Venkatesan started a self help group called Tarang, at the Mitr premises with three other parents, Ganapathi, Preetha and Kamala and their adult wards. Tarang makes various food products like Atta, Dosa Mixes, podis, pickles and vadams. It also takes catering orders from 15 to 300 plates at modest rates.
