Magical, melodious evening at Mitr Cafe yesterday, July 21, as Akshara and Kripa enthralled us with a variety of swaras and bhajans.
What was remarkable was that these two young ladies both have vision challenges and therefore had committed their entire repertoire to memory, being proficient "auditory learners".
It was a full house, and the appreciative audience was quick to applaud each part of their performance.
And, as always, there was plenty of food and fun after the concert!
Thanks, Akshara and Kripa for such a heartwarming performance! Many thanks also to their teacher Monali for coaching them so beautifully and organizing the performance.
Last, but never least, heartfelt gratitude to all the friends of Mitr and SCAN who showed up in such large numbers and participated with such enthusiasm.
